Health professions education researcher and registered dental hygienist specializing in professional identity formation, ethics, and feedback in healthcare education. I completed my PhD in Craniofacial Science at the University of British Columbia, where my research examined how professional values and learning environments shape the development of healthcare professionals.
I currently work as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UBC’s Faculty of Dentistry and Research Associate at the Centre for Health Education Scholarship (CHES). My work uses qualitative and mixed-methods approaches to study professionalism, feedback culture, and oral health equity, with the goal of improving health professions education and clinical learning environments.
I have experience in curriculum design, teaching, clinical supervision, and educational research, and I serve as a Board Director at Large for the British Columbia Dental Hygienists Association (2025–2028).
PhD in Craniofacial Science from the University of British Columbia, where my research focused on professional identity formation, ethics, and professionalism in health professions education. I also hold a Master of Education (MEd) and a Bachelor of Science in Physics as well as a Diploma in Dental Hygiene, which together provide a strong interdisciplinary foundation in clinical practice, education, and research in health professions education.
