Thermal evaporation systemUV-Visible Spectroscopy

About

Embarking on a PhD focused on designing cutting-edge multi-junction solar cells utilizing Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) and Gallium Nitride (GaN), a compound semiconductor renowned for its optimal direct bandgap and high-efficiency photovoltaic potential. Goal is to develop advanced multi-layer structures capable of absorbing a broader spectrum of sunlight, maximising renewable energy output. This research leverages GaAs and GaN superior photon absorption, thermal stability, and thin-film capabilities to push the boundaries of clean energy technologies, with applications ranging from terrestrial power generation to space-based solar arrays.

Driven by a passion for innovation, the aim is to contribute to next-generation solar cell design and sustainable energy solutions.

Experience

RESEARCH INTERN (QUANTUM BATTERIES & ENERGY STORAGE) - BEATITUDE SOFTWARE - BANGALORE, INDIA

(2025-12)

  • Serving as a core conceptual contributor for next-generation energy storage architectures, exploring the strategic potential of integrating quantum mechanics with advanced battery concepts.
  • Analysing the theoretical principles of quantum entanglement, coherence, and collective charging cooperative effects to understand how they might enable ultra-fast energy charging speeds with minimised dissipation.
  • Proposed high-level, integrated frameworks for coupling localised thin-film semiconductor solar cell absorbers directly with quantum battery concepts, exploring the theoretical feasibility of single-chip harvesting and storage systems.
  • Monitoring global trends and literature in solid-state quantum systems to identify industry bottlenecks, sharing strategic insights and innovative concepts.

TECHNICAL WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR (THERMAL EVAPORATION SYSTEMS) - ST. JOSEPH'S UNIVERSITY - BANGALORE, INDIA

(2026-01)

  • Independently designed and structured a comprehensive, end-to-end training workshop curriculum focused on high-vacuum thin-film deposition techniques for Postgraduate (MSc) Physics students.
  • Served as the lead technical instructor, delivering theoretical lectures and practical laboratory training on the complete operation of the Edward E306A resistive thermal evaporation system.
  • Trained master's students on critical vacuum sequencing protocols, managing baseline process pressures down and configuring high-melting-point molybdenum boats.
  • Instructed students on the deployment of integrated quartz crystal thickness monitors to strictly regulate and calibrate thin-film growth metrics.
  • Enforced high-vacuum chamber operation safety standards, equipment maintenance checks, and handling procedures for multi-layer semiconductor source materials.
