I am Ken, and I come from Hong Kong. I have an open work permit. I have worked in Mitsubishi Hong Kong since I was an apprentice, and over 7 years. I enjoy working in the elevator industry. I just have G1 now. I also have EDM-T now.
I have full license in Hong Kong and I keep on working in Mitsubishi as an elevator mechanic. I am mainly responsible for maintenance, repairing and inspection. There are escalators, traction elevator, MRL elevator and hydraulic elevator. Some of the elevators built in the 1960s are in old style. I am responsible for daily inspections which include checking and fixing the outdoors, checking the brake and checking the gov.
If there is something wrong, I need to do the repair such as change the press button, adjust the gov cable, and fill the oil. I clean the top of the car and pit as well. I always work at height and stand on top of the lift, run the test between floors 1 and 30.
During the 4 years apprenticeship in Mitsubishi, I learned and worked in different places, such as construction sites, business areas. I read the blueprint and tried to communicate with the clients.
Also, I do the installation, maintenance and repairing work as well.
