I am a fourth year undergrad student from the University of Toronto, studying computer science, biochemistry, and statistics. I have gained a few programming intern and research assistant experiences throughout my undergrad.
I have gained experiences as a programming volunteer in Founder and as an intern in Google, and am currently a volunteer research assistant in SickKids. Moreover, I am also working as a volunteer research assistant in the ActionCIND organization, under the supervision of Dr. Joshua Rosenblat, and the coordinator, James Im, in the progress of publishing a scientific paper investigating the association between fibromyalgia and depression.
I was taught and have practiced many AI algorithms during the internships in Founder and Google. In SickKids, my professor is investigating breast tumour metastasis, and my job is to perform laboratory wet-lab protocols such as PCR, IF/IHC staining, and confocal imaging. On top, I am also required to perform data input and analysis, sample acquisition and storage.
I am studying computer science, statistics, and biochemistry. I have built a sound academic foundation in biochem and could master a series of laboratory assays. In computer science and statistics, I have gained knowledge of python, R, SQL, C++, Java, and I have self learned JavaScript. Within these languages, I am most familiar in Python, R, and SQL. Moreover, I am familiar with plenty of machine learning algorithms.
the statistical model I have worked on are:
- Linear regression model
- Logistic regression model
- Generalized linear model
- Multilevel model
- Generalized linear mixed model
- Non-parametric regression model
- Time series
