Ambitious and results-oriented student. I am currently a Client Advisor at the Bank of Nova Scotia and a Finance student at the University of Ottawa. I have roughly two years of experience working in client-service-based positions, and recent experience working within the Finance field, as a Client Advisor. I have strong independent, stress-management, and problem-solving skills. I am seeking a student opportunity to further establish my skills, learn new expertise and gather a better understanding of the field of finance.
EXPERIENCE Client Advisor, The Bank of Nova Scotia, Ottawa, ON (October 2022-Current) • Help clients with their day-to-day banking needs. • Assist clients with setting up and/or closing accounts, completing applications, and signing up for new bank services. • Offer financial advice regarding investments and savings. • Educate clients about loans, lines of credit, and mortgages. • Ensure that clients are satisfied with banking services. • Deal with money, money wires, checks, balance sheets, inventory, and electronic forms. • Ensure clients are satisfied with their banking experience, by clearly communicating in their preferred official language. • Help financial advisors with their clients by verifying government documents to reduce the risk of fraud. • Conflict resolution. Example: Many elderly clients are unable to use online banking, I educate them by providing simplified step-by-step guidelines and demonstrating the use of the online Scotiabank application, to ensure all clients' needs are met and the problems are solved.
