Jorawar Birak

I'm Jora Birak, an Economics major at the University of Toronto, graduating in 2027. Passionate about business and law, I participated in UofT's Summer Youth Program in Law in 2023. I'm self-motivated and thrive in roles where I can complete tasks independently.

My competitive spirit and interest in marketing shine in DECA, where I achieved provincial and national success in financial operations and marketing competitions. Serving as a Senior Executive in the Debate Club and running for Student Council Vice President have further developed my leadership skills.

Volunteering is a significant part of my life. I’ve contributed to Brampton Hockey, participated in the Coldest Night of the Year event, and assisted at a Kids Christmas event for the Toronto Firefighters Association. These experiences have enriched my understanding of community service and the importance of giving back.

I speak Punjabi fluently and have elementary proficiency in French. I enjoy building PCs and am proficient in Microsoft Office. My certifications include WHMIS, office safety awareness, CPR-C/AED, accessibility, and workplace violence training.

I'm a team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for working with children. My diverse experiences have prepared me for various challenges, and I’m enthusiastic about making a positive impact in everything I do.
