Ever since I wrote my first program and watched "Hello World!" appear on screen I have been in awe of how typing just a few simple characters can allow me to create anything through my computer. The only limits being my creativity and current knowledge.
The most valuable experience I've learned from my education in software engineering is how to be a problem solver. I've grasped that often when faced with a challenge meeting the task head-on from a new angle has allowed me to achieve success. Whether it be writing a new program, or developing mathematical proofs I have learned creativity and perseverance are the most important tool when problem solving.
This year I have mastered a variety of programming languages including C,C++ and Java as well as experimenting in game development outside of the classroom. Looking ahead to the future I hope to complete an internship and gain some first-hand work experience.
