Julia Zhao

As a second-year student at McGill Desautel’s Faculty of Management, I am interested in pursuing in a career in the field of accounting and finance. In my university’s finance club, I am learning how to analyze industry trends and create financial models to guide business opportunities for expansion. Through my coursework at the university, I have learned advanced math theory which has greatly improved my analytical and problem-solving skills. I have solid experience and skills at Microsoft Suite which greatly assist me to prepare business documents and presentation. In the upcoming fall, I am planning to take the CFA level 1 exam in order to strengthen my skills.

With my experience as a volunteer for several organizations, I have learned how to effectively communicate with different people with different background and languages by organizing different activities for elder and young persons. Moreseo, I am interested in a plethora of hobbies, including writing, which have given me confidence to write creatively and effectively.I have strengthened my communication skills by joining the toaster master club and have developed specialized skills in several web-based computer languages such as Java, Pathon and HTML. I am also a good team player and I am confident that I will make great contribution to the team
