Hi, I’m Justin 👋 I love applying machine learning to solve interesting problems at the intersection of biology and engineering. My favourite past projects include protein secondary structure prediction and structural analysis of premolar enamel using image segmentation. Currently, I'm very excited about the field of NLP and the potential of large language models in various contexts and can’t wait to collaborate with others on ML solutions that make a lasting impact.

• Designed a computer vision model using Python to segment cracks in human enamel by transfer learning with a U-Net architecture
• Performed mechanical testing and micro-computed tomography scanning of tooth samples to segment cracks
• Analyzed and modeled the effects of osteopontin protein treatment on the mechanical properties of enamel

• Full stack developer creating healthcare software to increase care continuity and improve patient outcomes
