Full-Stack Developer - Canada Revenue Agency (2023-06 – 2025-04)
- Converted a legacy auditing software from a Java desktop executable to an Angular web application for a modernized user experience, browser accessibility, and future developments.
- Conducted a NIST SP-800 security review for an internal web app to certify code integrity in order for the app to be pushed into production and used by five other departments.
- Presented app features to business clients, demoing and explaining new additions, ensuring that employees using the app understood functionality in a question and answer format.
- Utilized Scrum methodology in Jira to report sprint progress daily, ensuring clear communication of project timelines and deliverables to maintain team unity.
Honours Project (Post-Quantum Signed Blockchain) - University of Ottawa (2019-06 - 2019-08)
- Built a prototype LAN blockchain in Java that utilizes and tests the time efficiency of the NIST candidate quantum signature algorithms ECDSA, Dilithium, and Sphincs.
- Was awarded first place prize after presenting a demo of the working code and writing a full report about our development process and the findings of our research.
IT Developer (Co-op) - Canada Revenue Agency (2021-09 – 2023-05)
- Developed an internal survey creation web app using an Angular front-end and Java back-end, utilizing the CI/CD pipeline, resulting in a streamlined process for auditors to document tax information.
- Collaborated with non-technical departments to determine the feasibility of client specifications for new features or bug fixes, ensuring realistic expectations and release windows for both parties.
DevOps Developer (Co-op) - Canada Revenue Agency (2021-02 – 2021-05)
- Developed a Spring Boot Java API which aided other CRA divisions with code deployment to increase the ease and speed of new releases.
- Integrated CI/CD tools including Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, and Gitea for automated workflows to build and test code before deployment which ensured integrity before being pushed into production.
- Tested project code for production using unit and integration techniques via JUnit to verify code integrity guaranteeing that only high-quality code is being approved.
Chef (Screen Leader) - Joey Rideau (2026-02 - Present)
- Lead the pans station during dinner services, communicating with the pans team as to which dishes needed to be cooked and plated and in which order to ensure smooth service flow.
- Cooked high quality dishes when as the primary cook on the station, requiring a high-degree of multi-tasking and attention to detail to ensure no dishes were overcooked and that all allergies were taken in to account.
- Inspected the quality of dishes before garnishing, sending back any dishes if quality was not met and communicated the reasoning ensuring everyone was on the same page.
- Coordinated with the rest of the kitchen about bill times of dishes in order to ensure all dishes for each table were sent out at the same time.
