I've been in the same job for 11 years and am looking for new opportunities in my field now that I've moved to Saskatoon. I have BST, current first-aid and CPR. The reason I do this is to teach life skills or enhance skills already known so that they may be put into practice daily. The joy of seeing the look and smile on their face and they realize their own independance is a reward in itself.
I've been working with physically and intellectually challenged people for the past eleven years. In that time, I've planned events such as dances and community BBQs; I've done payroll for clients; and organized and oversaw work and community involvement for the clients.
