About

Hi, i am a degreed Nurse (BN) with experience working in a Northern remote community as well as the city of Winnipeg.

I have performed an eclectics variety of nursing roles including: General practitioner in the North, Public Health Nurse, Home Care, CLPNM Regulator, Nursing Instructor for U of M, RRC, and ACC, Immunization Nurse, and an entrepreneur nurse with my own business.

I am passionate about working with individuals of all ages and cultures having done so all my career. I love teaching and education. I am a life long learner and have taken many courses to augment my career path.

Experience

I am a very independent practitioner, achieved by over the decade of isolated Public Health Nurse practice in the North.

I have practiced in Obs/Gyne, Labor and Delivery, paediatrics, Med/Surge, Emergency, Flight Nursing, Surgery, Long Term Care, Palliative care, School Health, STI health, Infectious diseases, International Immunology, COVID immunization, School Immunization, Communicable diseases, Public Health, Nursing Instructor for university, college and ACC students, Health Education to clients along the continuum of life, Regulator with CLPNM.

Education

I am a degreed nurse from U of Manitoba. I have taken many courses to augment my education in each area mentioned above. I minored in Native Studies and Psychology. i have taken End of life Dual course, Botox course, Douglas College Breatfeeding course, Immunization course, Diabetic Educator Course, Adult Learners course, and many WRHA mandated courses to site a few.
