Karina Kim

My name is Karina, I am happy to be back in Canada after nearly a decade studying and working in Europe. After four years working as a Google Ads AM At Google HQ in Ireland, I decided to take the jump towards my dreams of a life in academia. I am obviously very familiar with online content moderation as liaising with policy teams regarding client ads was a huge part of the role. As such, content moderation is a perfect fit for my experiences and stage in my life, where I am looking for a remote part time role that leverages my experiences and strengths.

Having worked a the Canadian Embassy in Taiwan as well as taking on policy leadership roles internally at Google, I have always had a marked interest in the rules that govern the online world and how they develop to match an industry defined by its rapid pace. Content moderation suits me extremely well as I prefer a hands on approach where I can see tangible results of my efforts. I had a reputation at work for my eloquence in communication, whether it be written or verbal, online or in person. All in all, I would be very pleased to be able to make a positive impact, no matter how small, and content moderation seems the perfect fit! Please feel free to reach out.
