I graduated from the University of Toronto this past May as a Finance Specialist and Economics Major. I have experience working at a Wealth Management firm, and am looking to find my next challenge!
My previous role as an Associate at Baskin Wealth Management taught me how to problem solve and taught me how passionate I am about performing to my highest ability. My responsibilities included keeping well informed on our portfolio of stocks and general market trends, modeling new trades in adherence with clients’ KYC, and monitoring daily checks and updates for withdrawals and profit and loss reconciliation. I enjoy working with others; I collaborated with portfolio managers, associates, and clients to achieve optimal trading decisions. As a Compliance Intern I performed mass data clean ups, performed AML check ups, and an ongoing review of current and new clients.
As a Finance Specialist, I have learned the mechanics of forecasting and understanding various valuation methods using software applications and data analytics via Excel, Python, and R. More specifically, I have learned how to evaluate a firm's financial statements, analyze mergers and acquisitions, and create meaningful presentations to exemplify my findings. To expand on what I have learned, I will be writing the CFA Level 1 exam in August 2023.
