I am currently a student at UBC, completing my undergrad in Commerce, specializing in Operations and Logistics as well as Business Technology Management. I am also a member of the UBC Women's Varsity Soccer team. This past season, we achieved great success tying the all time wins for a single season in our conference, winning 13 out of 14 games.
I was lucky to be named to our Conference All Star First-Team as well as playing a major part in our teams success. I believe that my career as an athlete has helped me succeed in the classroom by helping me learn distinct leadership skills, time management skills and being a strong presence in my community.
I have had experience as a Technical Assistant in an Engineering firm, a business strategy intern at a IT recruitment and consulting firm as well as coaching soccer and mentoring young kids. With learning to be in different fields, I was able to adapt to my companies needs and use my skills to help wherever necessary. I have experience with more technical skills that were needed with being an assistant, constantly using Excel and reading blueprints.
I also have experience with working in IT and using combined people and technical skills in different areas such as finance, HR and operations. Through working with coaching, I was able to help my community and share my knowledge of soccer with those around me.
I am completing my degree in Operations and Business Technology Management. My greatest takeaways from my education is how to look at different business processes, map out their different tasks and look for areas of improvement, make recommendations and present these solutions.
