I’m currently in the market for a position as an apprentice carpenter. I’m looking to build on my hours so I can further pursue my career in carpentry and later achieve my journeyman certification.
A role with your business appeals to me because it best suits my ability to learn and gain experience for the type of field work I'm interested in working with in the future.
I’m trained and experienced with hand and power tools. While at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, I learned how to frame and learned all types of trade math, from; floor framing, wall framing, to roof framing. I became efficient with a calculator and have a good memorization of formulas. So, I’m familiar with the trade math that is involved on the job-site. I was also trained to read blueprints and have a good understanding of fabrication.
As well as being familiar with the tasks involved, I’m good with people, I’m a team player with co-workers, I can work efficiently with any size group of co-workers, whether it be a large team, small team, by myself, I can diligently finish the task at hand.
