Kerstin Pirzek

As a graduate of the Interior Design program at VCAD, Kerstin maintained a 4.0 grade point average and completed with Honors. She is a creative junior interior designer who works towards innovative and diverse interior spaces.

Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe, Microsoft Office, Sketchup, Podium and V-Ray successfully articulates her ability to develop professional results. As a two-time winner of the Live Design Project based in Singapore, she has demonstrated her ability to meet client deliverables and quickly adapt while sourcing materials and furniture in other countries. Her attention to detail in her drawings and documentation packages is why clients choose her work over others.

Kerstin brings a wealth of interpersonal skills from her previous careers in the hair design industry, such as time management, listening skills, consistency in work, delegating and prioritizing, mindfulness, honesty, positivity and empathy. With these skills she maintained a 95% client retention rate which allowed her to develop her clientele exponentially. With her art and design experience and customer service knowledge, her abilities bring a fresh outlook and love of design to any project.

Appreciation of nature, connection to the community, and enthusiasm towards continuous growth define who Kerstin is as an individual, and she expresses her interest in sustainable, inclusive, and innovative designs.

Contract Part-Time Aug 2022 - current

Junior Interior Designer In collaboration with an Interior Design mentor (remotely) from The Live Design Project (TDLP), I design a concept based on a client brief and prepare an aesthetically pleasing presentation that includes four renderings, floor plans, furniture plans, and FF&E. I am responsible for selecting furniture, fixtures, and materials from local vendors based within the country where I am designing.

I have successfully won 2 cash awards while competing each time with three other junior designers designing the same spaces. I have a 90% success rate whenever I join a new project. The quality of my presentations sets me apart from the competition due to my attention to detail and ability to listen and empathize with the clients.
