Formerly in my Bylaw Enforcement Officer role, my successes have stemmed from essential skills, including the ability to work empathetically in sensitive & crisis situations and my use of conflict resolution through relationships. I have enhanced my communication abilities and cultivated a reputation as a major contributor through my observation skills, communication skills and customer service. I am a collaborative team player who is always searching for opportunities to impart valuable insights & learn valuable knowledge from others.
With these qualities, I am able to facilitate positive change and impacting outcomes. Identifying creative approaches and helping improve solutions to challenges both motivate and drive me. Observation, inspiration, and determination are my strongest skills.
My philosophy is that introducing fresh perspectives and new techniques allows business & people to evolve, grow, and reach others in a more empathetic manner. Similar to the teachings in the trauma related programs, my goal is to remain in a holistic and balanced work/life approach, provide for my family and help others carry their stories while encouraging healing.
I have a combined total of 14+ years experience in child & youth work, corrections, law & security and bylaw enforcement.
I have been certified, trained & experienced in Understanding, Preventing & managing aggressive behaviors; as well as Use of Force, Handcuff & Baton safe practice as well as various levels of first aid, lifesaving, & CPR.
I have a certificate in Certificate in Gladue Principles: Indigenous peoples and the Canadian Criminal Justice System from Wilfrid Laurier University. As well as a Diploma in Law & Police Foundations from Conestoga College.
