I have worked with a variety of people within the social services sector (ex. aging populations, people with disabilities, homeless population). I, therefore have lots of transferable skills.
I started with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa as a big sister. As I was completing my SSW diploma, I did my placement with Nepean Housing, providing after school supports and with Shepherds of Good Hope providing supports throughout their programming. In university while completing my BSW, I did one placements with the aging population and the other in the CLSC in the department for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. After graduating and obtaining my BSW, I worked with the human trafficking sector. Currently, I work in the Matching Program at ABLE2 as a Social worker.
