I am a Squamish Nation member with relations to Skwa, Cheam and First Nations. I am a passionate advocate for children and families, climate change and species at risk. I sit on my Squamish Nation Member Advisory Board, contributing to building our Nation law and jurisdiction for our Men Men (children). I am a Board Member for the provincial First Nations Committee on Disaster and Climate Risk. I am a member of the UHF Spectrum team advocating for priority access in licensing, self governing and autonomy for First Nations natural resources for high speed connectivity and sovereignty. I am part of the provincial team who is one of three candidates for the 2024 Premiers Award for the protection, sustainability and reintegration of the Northern Spotted Owl for Canada. Asserting First Nations sovereignty and autonomy to title and rights, traditions, economic equity through the interpretation and implementation of UNDRIP.
I have worked in the school district, social development and children and families.
My academic education consists of a Social Service Diploma with First Nations studies. I have been certified as a 911 Communication Dispatcher. I have First Aid Level C training. My indigenous knowledge comes from lived experiences and I continue my learning through Elders, Leaders, community, land and relatives. I learn by practicing our traditions.
