Leo Zhang

Hello everyone, my name is Leo Zhang. I am currently a 3A student at the University of Waterloo for a degree in Civil engineering. I enjoy meeting new and interesting people and during my free time, I listen to a lot of music across different genres and play basketball.

I worked at R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited, from September 2022- December 2022 as a Civil Engineering Student, which is a Co-op position. While working at R.J. Burnside, I help prepared subdivision drafting and plan production drawings for engineers, perform lot grade to drawings with assistance, and participated in the sewer design process. I helped ensure the accuracy of sanitary and storm design information using Microsoft excel. I also helped prepare drawing packages using Civil3D and Bluebeam for submission. I also assisted with report preparation process.

I worked at CETI of the ministry of Transportation, from January 2022 to April 2022 as an EMO Laboratory Engineering Associate. For this position, I assisted with the testing of concrete and other engineering materials, such as air void samples, admixtures, rebars, etc. I organized stored and recorded accurate information about samples effectively. I also prepared samples for external laboratories for correlation purposes

I am currently a 3A student at the University of Waterloo for a degree in Civil engineering.
