Lily Downes

I am a hardworking, and dedicated person looking to hone and develop the various skills I have acquired over my time as both a student and worker. I am a passionate individual, who is able to work effectively in a team and communicate with the general public and members of the workforce. My interpersonal skills are excellent and I have experience in customer service.

My role as a student fundraiser at the University of Warwick in the UK helped me to develop my communication and interpersonal skills. As a part of the role, I would call members of the public, including alumni of the University, and speak to them about the ways in which they could help to support the school.

My work at the Danish Pastry House in Oakville, Ontario, helped me to hone my customer service and team work skills. My work involved stocking shelves, speaking to customers about the products, selling products to customers, making drinks, and cashing customers out. Working as a team was an essential part of the job, and I was able to practice this quality.

I am currently enrolled in further education at the University of Warwick. At university I study Economics and Global Sustainable Development. Here I get to learn about the various ways in which sustainable developments impacts the planet and how we can move towards a more sustainable future. My course allows me to work both independently and in groups.
