I am a retired elementary schoolteacher who has volunteered with several community organizations helping organize wellness events including planning the content, booking venues and speakers, and advertising the event. Please see my resume for specific examples. I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work well with colleagues. I currently represent the Readers Theatre standing committee on the Peace Country Historical Society Board.
I have over 30 years of experience as an elementary school teacher which required strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in order to meet the individual needs of each student. when I taught I was able to build rapport with the students and their parents. My Volunteer position on staff for most of my career was as a professional development rep. I made staff aware of conferences available for staff to atttend as well as plan local events at the school level for staff to attend.Since retirement I have continued to plan events for NWARTA ( retired teachers) and for Readers Theatre.
I have completed my Bachelor of Arts with a major in History and my Bachelor of Education. In addition I have completed five courses of a Certificate in Career Counselling and Academic Advising.
