I am working as a Food Counter Attendant here in Courtenay but I am actively involved as a volunteer at L'Arche Comox Valley. I absolute love spending time here, participating in community life, and building meaningful, mutual relationships with the core members.
Looking at my background, my career has actually been in international hospitality management for over 20 years. That experience taught me how to be incredibly patient, reliable, and how to anticipate the daily needs of others. Recently, I decided to transition my life fully into care and community service.
To prepare for this, I completed my First Aid/CPR and Abuse Prevention certifications. For the future, I am deeply motivated to make a long-term commitment as a Live-In Assistant. I want my daily work to be centered on inclusion, dignity, and sharing life with the core members, and I feel my maturity and background make me fully ready for this beautiful responsibility.
