Maé Omphalius

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in quantitative finance until December 2026, I am passionate about learning and research. My experience as a research assistant for the FSA trading rooms allowed me to develop analytical rigor and critical thinking on concrete financial issues, as well as foundational proficiency with databases such as Bloomberg. As a former high-performance athlete, I have also developed discipline, resilience, and stress management skills, which I now apply in my academic and professional journey.

Currently a CFA Level 1 candidate, I have a particular interest in ethics in finance.

Participation in an international competition bringing together more than 35 universities. We finished 5th in the overall rankings, with a 1st place finish on the mergers and acquisitions case.

• Development of algorithmic trading programming skills, and integration of AI-based event-driven analysis into our algorithms using the RIT market simulation platform.
