I am a second-year Master's student in Economics, currently working on my final thesis in Energy Economics. Having strong data analysis and report writing skills, I am comfortable working alone and as part of a team on projects. I am always eager to learn new skills and take on new challenges to further develop my abilities. I have experience with programming languages like Python and MATLAB and analysis tools like STATA.
I have experience as a Research Assistant, contributing to an environmental science group's research program on "Transforming suburban areas: a marketplace for urban ecosystem services." In this role, I designed experiments, conducted data analysis, and collaborated with a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, I played a key role in maintaining financial stability as a member of the GSA Budget and Finance Committee. As a Teaching Assistant at reputable institutions, I facilitated tutorial sessions, graded assignments and exams, and provided support to students.
I also contributed to cross-border collaborations and student support as a Course Assistant in Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL). My internship at the Mashhad Chamber of Commerce enhanced my research skills, including conducting literature reviews and analyzing data.
I hold an M.A. in Economics from the University of Saskatchewan, where I am currently pursuing my degree with an expected completion in August 2023. During my master's program, I conducted an extensive analysis focused on reducing energy intensity in Canada. This involved utilizing indices to decompose the phenomenon at various levels and employing rigorous testing methods to examine socioeconomic factors' potential impact.
I also hold a B.A. in Economics from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, where I gained a strong understanding of fundamental economic principles and their practical applications. As a high-ranking student, I had the opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant for courses such as Econometrics and Microeconomics, further enhancing my knowledge and skills in the field.
