With extensive experience in a hospital environment, a Medical Laboratory Technician certification through the Medical Laboratory Professionals’ Association of Ontario (MLPAO), and a current role as an Appointments Clerk in Medical Imaging at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, I have developed a strong combination of clinical, patient-care, administrative, and diagnostic imaging experience.

Appointments Clerk - Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

Support the MRI by registering patients, scheduling and coordinating examinations, reviewing MRI requisitions, creating radiology accounts, and ensuring that required documentation is accurately processed. Developed strong knowledge of radiology terminology and MRI requisition requirements and regularly communicate with patients, referring departments, physicians, and healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient patient flow. Ensure patients understand and follow appropriate pre-medication requirements, including protocols related to contrast allergies and claustrophobia, and identify and flag patients who may require additional preparation before their examination.

Clinical Placement - Scarborough Health Network

Worked in the Core Laboratory, Emergency and Urgent Care Units, Cardiac Care, and Adult Inpatient Mental Health Unit. These experiences strengthened my ability to remain accurate, calm, and patient-focused in fast-paced clinical environments.

Unit Clerk II - General Medicine Acute Care

Coordinated patient transfers, communicated with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, managed patient records, responded to urgent situations, and supported safe and efficient patient flow. Throughout my hospital experience, I have consistently demonstrated strong attention to detail, confidentiality, organization, communication, and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
