Martha Robertson

I am currently completing my 4th year at TMU in the BSW program. I have a diploma from George Brown College in the Assaulted Women and Children Advocate and Counsellor program. I have over 5 years of customer service experience and 3 years of administrative experience.

I have completed placement at Home Hospice Association and Bereaved Families of Ontario, focusing on intake, one-to-one grief counselling and facilitating group grief support groups. I am currently completing a placement at Red Door Family Shelter, focusing on shelter support work. I am interested in part-time/relief Shelter Support Work.

I have over 7 years of experience in retail/customer service and over 3 years of administrative experience.

• worked in multiple retail environments; over 3 years at Canadian Tire, and 4 years of food-related retail. 
• worked within non-profit organizations, with my focus being on intake/admission. This experience includes a year with Toronto Humane Society and a year with Bereaved Families of Ontario. 
• Currently work as a receptionist with Massage Addict, managing calendars for multiple independent contractors (RMTs). 
• one-to-one counselling with Bereaved Families of Ontario, and Toronto Rape Crisis Centre (Volunteer Counsellor). 
• Group Facilitation; Peer Support Group with Bereaved Families of Ontario. 

I am currently completing my 4th year at TMU in the BSW program, expected graduation in April 2026. Current GPA 3.8. Completed a placement with Bereaved Families of Ontario in 3rd year. Currently completing a placement with Red Door Family Shelter.

Completed a placement with the Home Hospice Association, predominantly focused on Grant Writing and creating educational materials for the Death Doula certification offered through the program.
