Born 26 December 1998 in Harare, Zimbabwe. Sound engineer, guitarist, and composer based in Toronto.
I've been a professional musician since my early teens. Growing up in Zimbabwe, I performed with many local legends including Oliver Mtukudzi, Forward Kwenda and Gemma Griffiths. Much of my early musical development also involved learning to record myself with whatever equipment and software was available.
After moving to Toronto to study at Humber College in 2018, I became much more deeply invested in the world of audio as I gained a more technical understanding of recording, editing and mixing. I spent a year working in Gordon Wragg Recording Studio as an assistant engineer and have been working privately in mixing and editing over the past few years.
During my bachelor's degree program at Humber College, I was constantly in the recording studio in classes including Advanced Production, Advanced Methods of Recording and Aesthetics of Recorded Sound as well as recording my own album. Having spent countless hours working in DAW's and recording myself at home as a teenager, I was able to excel in these classes and graduated with the Award for Academic Excellence for finishing with the highest cumulative GPA in the program.
