My passion for building and design is fueled by a love for the creative process. To me, nothing quite compares to the fulfillment I feel from seeing my ideas grow into tangible structures; a feeling I chase in everything I do. Whether I'm designing a robotic exoskeleton with the Queen's University Biomechatronics Design Team, building office spaces with a local construction company, or completing hands-on projects as 3rd-year Mechanical Engineering undergrad, that desire to create has never ceased to drive me throughout my life and career.
Previously, I held multiple internships with a local construction contracting company (Cornerstone Building and Property Services) where I worked closely with the executive, operational, and field teams. Over the two summers I spent working with this organization, I was responsible for a variety of tasks including reviewing estimating quotes, assisting in the preparation of pitches, analysing financial data sets, documenting project meetings, and general labouring.
Currently, I am working as a project manager for a student-run design team (Queen’s Biomechatronics), where I’ve been provided the opportunity to apply the organizational and interpersonal skills that I’ve learned from my previous work experiences. In this position, I lead a multidisciplinary team of engineering undergraduates in the construction of a lower-limb exoskeleton. This experience has continued to strengthen my proficiency in CAD design, as well as my ability to cultivate a strong team; two assets that I believe would be invaluable as a part of the team at beBee.
I'm currently in my third year majoring in mechanical engineering at Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario).
