I am a Registered Nurse with a strong foundation in patient care, having recently completed my bachelor’s degree in nursing. With over two years of diverse experience at Hôtel-Dieu de Québec, I have developed essential skills in high-pressure environments, including surgery and the floating team. During my nursing internship, I gained hands-on experience in various areas, totaling over 1,300 hours. In Emergency & Community Health Care, I helped triage and stabilize patients and educated them on chronic disease prevention. I also worked with family medicine teams to support patients moving from hospital to community care. In Medicine & Surgery, I conducted patient assessments, gave treatments, and assisted with post-operative recovery, including wound care and mobility support. I also cared for elderly patients in Geriatrics & Psychiatry and supported mental health teams by observing patient behavior.
Care, I helped new mothers with breastfeeding and ensured newborn safety.
In addition to my internship, I have over two years of work experience at Hôtel-Dieu de Québec. I worked in surgery and on the floating team, where I provided care in busy, high-pressure environments. I administered medications, supported patients through recovery, and worked with various medical teams.
My time on the floating team allowed me to gain experience in different departments, adapting to different patient needs and care settings. These experiences helped me build strong clinical skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
I recently completed my bachelor’s degree in nursing, which provided me with a strong foundation in healthcare principles, patient care, and medical procedures. My education included both theoretical coursework and practical clinical placements, allowing me to gain hands-on experience in various healthcare settings.
