Hello! My name is Meghan, and I am a First Nations candidate. I am a diligent and self-motivated college student, looking for a secure job. I am willing to provide background checks, to complete certification requirements, and to go through necessary training for the right job. I have various work experience with excellent references.
I currently work as a casual house cleaner for the realtor company the Power of Three and More doing move-in and move-out cleans for clients. I have no set schedule, shiftwork, or guaranteed amount of hours. As cleaning jobs are available, I get to pick the day and time I work, and I work independently. I started this job in June 2022 but had to resign in August 2022 for post secondary reasons, but I was hired again when I came back in January 2023.
Before, I worked with Green Acres in Resident Services (Dec. 2020 - Aug. 2021) as a room cleaner, kitchen worker, and receptionist. I was hired for sanitizing, but in spare time during my shift, I would volunteer to help in other work areas of the building. I “trained” myself to do other work above what was required of me, and I was rewarded with more hours in other departments with more responsibilities. I left this job for post secondary reasons.
My previous job was working at McDonalds from September - December in 2020 as part of the kitchen crew. I worked in a fast-paced, high pressure environment with a team. I only worked here for four months, but I built my work experience and received an excellent reference which helped me to get into a better, higher paying job at Green Acres.
I got my first summer part-time job working at a library in 2018. Other than organizing and maintaining the library inventory, I helped organize and plan the summer reading program for kids.
I graduated from high school in June 2020 and received my diploma. I moved to Ontario in 2021 to receive post secondary education in music, but then decided that the program was not going to give me the kind of music education I need to get into a professional music career. Instead, I've applied to another music program at the University of Lethbridge, which I will be entering into in the fall 2023.
