Melvin Hsu

Hi, my name is Melvin! When I entered the Institute of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT) at Simon Fraser University, my goal was always to be a producer and an editor in the future. After several years of learning experience, including video editing, production, pre-production, scripting, storyboarding, and managing production projects, I am eager to apply what I have learned and contribute to the film and television industry. 

• Worked as a Grocery Checker at Shoppers Drug Mart in Burnaby, BC, assisting customers, restocking shelves, and checking deliveries.
• Served as an Assistant Leader for the City of Burnaby Summer Program, creating a safe and fun learning environment for participants through activity planning and safety monitoring.
• Worked as a Youth Worker at Summit Youth Centre in Burnaby, BC, applying clinical and behavioral knowledge to ensure safety during crisis moments and adhering to safety protocols.

I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interactive Arts and Technology with a minor in Print and Digital Publishing at Simon Fraser University in Surrey, BC.
