Michael Nixon

I am a software developer looking for a permanent position. I am an extremely fast learner and my current skillset (should they not be exactly what you're looking for) can be easily transferred. I also don't shy from a steep learning curve. I am persistent in my attitude towards learning and consistent in meeting deadlines. I work well in both team and solo settings. Until recent years, the majority of my development career was oil and gas based sql database management. Since then I went back to school to focus more on programming languages like oop Java, safe practices of the cybersecurity world, front-end / back-end / full stack development and ui/ux functionality.

I worked at DPH Focus for three years doing sql database management as an automation and controls specialist. I've done a few freelance jobs doing website development.

I went to SAIT for two programs. The first one was automated systems engineering, also known as mechatronics. The second was a information technology program focusing on software development. Both were two year programs.
