I have been a hepatology NP for more than 10 years with some more recent experience in inflammatory bowel disease. I currently am working part time between 2 jobs in Fernie BC Canada and Calgary Alberta Canada. I love my work and the population I serve but am looking for new adventures and a consistent full time job.

Advanced Practice Nurse, East Kootenay Gastroenterology, Fernie, BC June 2014 – Present

1. Manage care of a specialized patient population in the East Kootenay region. 

• Consultation, treatment and education of gastroenterology and hepatology patients in the East Kootenays.
• Education of patients with various GI related health conditions including NAFLD, cirrhosis and IBD.
• Organize complex care of patients with advanced liver disease.

Nurse Practitioner (NP), Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, AB Oct 2010 – Jan 2014

1. At the Calgary Liver unit, worked collaboratively with a team of Hepatologists and NPs to service 
2. patients in Southern Alberta. 

• Member of the NP lead cirrhosis/general hepatology clinic and the care of 300-400 patients.
• Responsible for the operation of cirrhosis and paracentesis clinics. 
• In conjunction with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team, diagnosed patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and organized cancer treatment. 
• Responded to information requests from patients, doctors and other medical staff regarding patient care. 

Nurse Practitioner (NP), Alberta Health Services, Lethbridge, AB Oct 2016-Oct 2021

• Developed and managed the Lethbridge outpatient liver clinic.
• Primary clinician for Hepatology patients in Lethbridge area. 
• Developed strong relationships with organizations servicing marginalized patients in Southern Alberta to provide their primary Hepatology care.
• Associate Hepatology clinician with University of Calgary.

Nurse Practitioner (NP), Family Medical Centre, Lethbridge, AB Dec 2015 – October 2016

1. Manage care of hepatology patients in Southern Alberta. 

• Assessment, evaluation and treatment of hepatology patients.
• Educate patients on issues related to liver disease.
• Develop care plans and communicate on a regular basis with patients.
• Helped develop mobile liver clinic with Blood Tribe (Kainai First Nation).
