Nabil Ahmed

I’m a Master of Engineering student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Calgary, with nearly 4 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer. My passion lies at the intersection of software development and real-world problem solving, especially in areas that drive innovation and impact communities. I have strong skills in full-stack development, cloud technologies, and system design, and I’m actively preparing to return to the software industry with the goal of contributing to leading tech companies.

Outside of work, I enjoy gaming, movies, and exploring the Canadian Rockies.

I have nearly 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer, where I contributed to designing, developing, and maintaining web and mobile applications. My work involved full-stack development, API integration, and cloud deployment. I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient software solutions. This hands-on experience built a strong foundation in modern programming practices, agile methodologies, and real-world problem-solving.

I recently graduated with a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Calgary. My studies focused on software systems, power systems, and applied technologies, with coursework in machine learning, power electronics, optimization, and sustainability. This program enhanced my technical expertise and prepared me for solving real-world engineering challenges in both software and energy sectors.
