About

With five years of experience as an RDH, and over a decade of experience as a prior CDA, I’m very well-grounded in the dental field, and also practiced in Alberta for the last three years. Mostly, I have gained my experience through working as an independent contractor in various dental settings and specialties such as, Periodontics, Children's Dentistry, Orthodontics, and other General Practices. Currently, I am a contract employee covering a temporary RDH position at the Mindemoya Dental Centre in Ontario.

In addition to my most recent experience, I’ve had the privilege to move across the Northwest Territories of Canada, and work within Canada’s northern smaller communities which allowed me the exposure to multiple dental procedures and practices. Throughout my diverse experience, I have also develop clinical management and administrative skills, essential for operating a dental practice. My past work experiences as a CDA had inspired me to dive deeper into dental hygiene.

Becoming an RDH allowed me to work between different dental offices, and better prepared me to understand the diversity within the dental community; in regards to the ability to recognize the signs and symptoms of dental diseases, contraindications to treating patients with special needs, disabilities, and chronic illnesses or conditions. I am very passionate about creating an atmosphere in which clients are at ease, and understand their best treatment options available to achieve optimal oral care. As a dental professional, I believe that proper communication and collaboration is essential in the dental hygiene process of care.

As well as, providing evidence based practices, education and client centered care plans.
