Natalie Carusi

Natalie Carusi is a dedicated Registered Nurse and healthcare leader with a passion for delivering client and family-centred care through inclusive, innovative, and evidence-based practices. Graduating with a Master of Nursing from the University of Toronto in November 2022, Natalie also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) with Honours from York University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in June 2017.

With a commitment to advancing healthcare practices, Natalie has enhanced practice through specialized training and continuing education including an Obstetric Registered Nurse Certificate from Humber College and a Breastfeeding Course for Healthcare Professionals at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Currently serving as a Clinical Coordinator since February 2022, Natalie excels in managing clinical workflows, resolving conflicts, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. She has also contributed significantly to nursing education as a Clinical Instructor and Teaching Assistant, guiding BScN students in maternal newborn care in both hospital and academic settings.

Before her leadership role, Natalie accumulated extensive experience as a Registered Nurse in the Labour and Delivery Unit from November 2017 to 2022. In this role, she demonstrated exceptional skills in managing high-risk maternal and fetal/neonatal clients across antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum stages, including experience in perioperative settings.

Throughout her career, Natalie has been actively involved in fostering collaborative environments and professional development among healthcare teams. She is known for her excellent communication, critical decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills, essential in promoting positive patient outcomes and efficient working environments. Natalie is also well-regarded as a mentor for novice nurses and nursing students.

Looking ahead, Natalie is dedicated to advancing her knowledge and impact in leadership, education, research, and system optimization within healthcare and community settings.
