have graduated with Master of Engineering in Systems & Technology with an emphasis on AI and developing cyber-physical systems from McMaster University in December of 2022. I have completed a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in July 2020 from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in Hungary.
During my academic studies and research work, I was exposed to multiple courses and projects in artificial intelligence and machine learning with an emphasis on computer vision. In those, I was heavily involved in developing and evaluating a robust machine learning algorithm. In one course on Neural Networks and Development Tools, I built a neural network model for car object detection in adverse weather conditions.
I was responsible for the data pre-processing such as cleaning, enhancing, and visualization. I also researched different neural network models such as (conventional neural network) CNN, Yolo, and Fast R-CNN. Furthermore, I built an AI algorithm for image processing to process microstructures of steel to determine the phase fractions.
In this project, I developed a tool that uses the principles of artificial intelligence to reduce the time needed to identify the microstructure.
Besides my academic research, I worked as the AI research lead at Health and Rehab Research Inc in Toronto, Canada. In my tenure, I developed a robust machine learning-based clinical decision support system to predict patient prognosis and managed the research team made of 6 Co-op students in developing dashboards and analytics platforms for data management. We used this platform to analyze and develop a visual analytics tool.
