● Setting up for opening: wiping tables, polishing plates, utensils, and glassware & memorizing specials of the day
● Managing sections of up to 10 tables, often divided between the inside dining area and the outside patio.
● Welcoming clients and suggesting appetizers and beverages
● Taking and delivering orders swiftly and with care
● Preparing and garnishing hot and cold beverages (cocktails, martinis, cappuccinos, etc.)
● Multitasking efficiently under pressure (Often working as a bar service tender, too.)
● Ensuring that clients have a pleasant dining and drinking experience
● Keeping track of individual tabs for groups of up to 30
● Calculating tipouts at the end of shift
● Facilitating a smooth shift change without disrupting customers' experience
