I am a Law student (LLB) at the Faculty of Law of Université Laval, in Québec, QC. I started attending Law School in September 2022. Prior to starting law school, I worked 6 years at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, occupying various positions: Hearing transcripts and recording officer, A/Accreditation officer and Legal clerk.
As a hearing transcripts officer after hearing I reviewed and proofread and, if required, correct immigration case transcripts, provide the documents to the decisions makers, counsels and upload the transcripts into clients' files. As an A/Accreditation officer I generated new contracts, contract renewals and contract amendments for new and existing interpreters of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) and I coordinated personnel security screening applications and security screening. Finally as I Legal clerk intern one of my responsibilities was to provide legal research services to the senior legal advisor and legal advisers of the IRB,
