Omar Khan

I'm a software developer and an honours CS student at the University of Calgary. I'm driven by my curiosity of how technology works and how we can use it to make the world a better place. I'm particularly interested in:

• Fullstack Development (Web • Android • iOS)
• Spatial Computing (AR • VR • Digital Twins)
• Machine Learning & Computer Vision

Worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the Schulich School of Engineering (University of Calgary) from January to September 2023.

• Research and development in digital twins, extended reality (AR/VR/MR) and human-computer interaction under supervision of Dr. Kangsoo Kim. 
• Developed prototype web-apps and Unity projects. 
• Received the NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award to fund the development of an AI virtual campus guide in the Unity game engine.

Pursuing an Honours BSc in Computer Science at the University of Calgary.
