Pahul Sidhu

I am an ambitious, motivated, and passionate learner currently studying at BCIT,burnaby. My time spent at BCIT has given me experience with working on projects with a small team. I am able to use the technical skills I learn and apply them when I am self-teaching myself React or working on side projects. I believe with my technical skillset and familiarity with team projects, I would be an excellent fit with any team.

My first term in Computer Systems Technology allowed me to fully immerse myself in programming.I worked closely with a team of three to create a web application from scratch. Utilizing HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Node js, Bootstrap, and SQL, we were able to deliver a project which received a mark of 100%. I took on the role of project manager, created pages based on a consistent style, created JavaScript functions to read and write to the database, coordinated meetings, and led the sprints.

The hands-on nature of the Computer Systems Technology fosters a sense of curiosity for development, which I can satisfy with the technical skills I learn in a forward-thinking matter.In the second term, I created a 2d game in java using object oriented principles.

My belief in self-learning led me to learn and practice React js, in which I created Newsfunky (a news app) and Customtalks (a chatting app).

I worked during the summer vacation as a warehouse associate at NRI distributions, surrey.
