At age 6, my mum took me to a place she called a hospital to drop in on a sick uncle, I saw a lot of ailing people at the place, and I asked her lots of questions about the sick and who was taking care of them. I was so concerned, It was there that I knew I wanted to be the one caring for these people. After high school in Ghana, Africa, I took off to fulfill my dream with the help of my mother and guess where I landed, Canada. I loved it, I completed my Personal Support Program at Centennial College, worked at some Nursing Homes, and was later employed at Sunnybrook Health Science Care Center as a patient observer taking care of patients with high needs of care and monitoring, there I worked with some patients who are suicidal, disoriented, combative, or who can cause self-harm by pulling attached medical devices. I wanted to further pursue my dream as a registered nurse so I decided to enrol back to school and I’m presently a health science student at George Brown College. I live my life by this quote “ You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”, I try as much as possible to take hold of any opportunity suitable that comes my way. And oh I forgot to mention, I took an Ecom course and it helped me know more about selling online, building networks and the importance of having a good mindset. I’ll take off here because my break time is over and I have to answer a call bell from a patient. Here’s a quote just for you.
