• Participated in daily guide meetings, take daily weather observations from weather plot and from the field. skied with guest groups, provided field first aid when required, taught avalanche safety, and was responsible for lodge maintenance.
• Led hiking groups during the summer season, prepared a daily route plan ensuring guest safety and navigation on backcountry terrain.
• Independently prepared healthy, hearty breakfasts, lunches, appetizers, and dinners for up to 18 guests while accommodating all dietary restrictions.

HIKING GUIDE - AUSTIN ADVENTURES

Working with 1 or 2 other guides we were responsible for up to 14 guests, weeklong trips included guiding them on day hikes and managing all daily activities (including accommodation, meals and facilitating them to and from other sub-contractors). Ensured the day-to-day operations of the lodge were carried out efficiently. Responsible for coordinating town jobs, heli flights, lodge inventory, and maintenance planning.

TREEPLANTER AND SLASH PILE BURNER - DYNAMIC REFORESTATION, ZANZIBAR HOLDINGS LTD.

Piece work, self-motivation necessary. Planting 1500+ trees daily. Pile burning involves navigation skills using GPS, I-pad as well as paper maps.
