I have been a registered chiropodist for over ten years with a broad scope of practice in both community and private settings. However, most of my career thus far has been spent at North York General Hospital - Centre for Complex Diabetes Care (CCDC), where the majority of my cases are patients with a diabetic neuropathic foot ulcer (DNFU).
In the complex care setting, addressing the DNFU often means a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to care, where creative measures and best practice are often combined and utilized to address a patient’s barrier to management.
