Pooveni Binda

I am a student at the university of Ottawa currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in mathematics in French immersion. I am interested in the application of mathematics in the financial sector. I am a hardworking and enthusiastic young woman looking forward to start her career in the financial sector, especially banking. I have previously worked as an operation-data administrator and as a salesperson. My work experience has enriched my interpersonal skills, ICT skills and given me a taste of the work field. I am a dedicated worker and am open to criticism and learning.

I have worked as an operation-data administrator at Rennel Limited(FedEx & TNT- Mauritius) from December 2021 to May 2022. I was in the export department where my task was to scan barcodes on parcels and input parcels' details( such as weight, address..) on a computer. I also worked as a salesperson for Swavroski Mauritius from June 2022-August 2022. My job was to welcome customers and assist them in their buying.

I am currently a student at the University of Ottawa enrolled in a Bachelors' degree in Mathematic. I have also taken courses in python(programming) and economics. I did my cambridge A-level( equivalent secondary school diploma) and in Mauritius. I have two french certificates approved by the French Ministry of education, namely: Diplôme d'étude en langue française( DELF B2) et Diplôme Approfondi en langue française( DALF C1)
