I am a Computer Science undergraduate alumni from the University of Calgary, graduated as of June 2022. I would love to get involved with the company while working within the field of information systems while bringing value to this organization that is dedicated to improving current technical practices through the leveraging of AI and machine learning. As a person who is always looking to learn new ways of implementing modern technologies to further streamline the way in which information technology operations are carried out in a team environment, I believe this is my ideal post.

I live in Calgary, however am very open to relocation given the gateway to do so.

In my current role at McMillan-McGee Corp, I've been dedicated to enhancing both my teamwork and problem-solving skills, all while striking a delicate balance between the business's needs and stakeholder expectations. Working with a close-knit team of developers, I've championed efficiency and cohesiveness improvements, introducing tools like Gitlab, implementing rigorous code reviews, and fostering knowledge sharing through weekly wikis. Beyond my job requirements, I've delved into enhancing our software system design to ensure long-term maintainability, reduce technical debt, and minimize cognitive load for future contributors.

This mindset reflects my commitment to optimizing our systems and contributing strategically to your organization.

While bringing value to the talented and forward-thinking team at Helcim, as a Junior Full Stack Software Developer, I continue to pick up new skills and am constantly given opportunities to practice ones that I want to develop further upon. Thorough code reviews, product development discussions and scrum/ sprint meetings have made me a more collaborative developer who prioritizes the collective productivity of the team.

Experience building a component-based frontend using Vue 3 (Composition API) framework to match figma mock-ups has further developed my eye for detail as well as good web design. Building secure backend REST API routes and services that communicate with the front-end and production database has made me a better problem solver as I look for better ways to design the pre-existing system architecture.

I have worked in multiple organizations, all with varying sizes of software development teams and project management styles.

I am BSc with a major in Computer Science graduate from the University of Calgary. I also am a French languages graduate from University of Quebec at Trois-Rivere.
