I finished my bachelors in biology from Laval University in winter 2022 with a minor in sustainable development. My interests are climate change, the environment and teaching, although I have no teaching education.
My professional experience consists of an internship in field crops at the MAPAQ in Sherbrooke as well as a position as a research assistant at GRET-PERG (Peatland Ecology Research Group). During the internship, I contributed to 2 research projects on experimental plants, Kura clover and CRS-1001 alfalfa, as well as to the detection of insect pests in crop fields. As a research assistant, I collected and compiled data, maintained a database, and collaborated on the experimental phase of a research project on CO2 production from peatlands. Nonetheless, I am open to any learning necessary to advance in my future career as a biologist. During my school years, I worked part time at Costco Wholesale and I still currently work there as a cashier, while I find something more interesting.
I have a bachelors in biology with a minor in sustainable development from Laval University (2019-2022). Relevant classes include Ecology and responsible management of wetlands, Biodiversity I/II, General ecology, Oceanic biogeochemistry and climate, Evolutionary ecophysiology, Foundations of sustainable development
