10+ years of experience in the security industry and more than two years as a site supervisor with GardaWorld at a site named Grainger DC, Caledon (April 2018-December 2020). My job description were as follows:
As security supervisor led a team of 8 people.
- Always presentable and dressed professionally in a tidy uniform.
- Maintain good relations with the client.
- 100% Punctuality in all those years of employment zero no-shows and always arrived on or before time.
- Making weekly schedules and emailing them to the account manager, all team members and operations, lighting etc.
- Provide training to new team members or spotfills both face-to-face or virtually.
- Update employee locker sheet and issue new lockers to new workers.
- 2 Exterior and 2 interior patrols. Check for all emergency exits if secured, spills, fumes, animals, suspicious vehicles and trespassers. If anything unusual report in writing it to the appropriate department cleaner, maintenance manager, director or building manager.
- Monitor CCTVs, Alarm monitoring system. Set camera patterns for PTZ ones. Operate gate arms from the office while the gatehouse guard is away, etc. Ensuring flow of traffic.
- At the gatehouse post record all details of trucks, trailer, driver, times of entry/exit from yard.
- During after-hours provide bill of lading to the drivers and then return a signed copy it to the shipping/receiving office the day it resumes.
